Come explore National History Day 2013/2014 with the National Archives, the National History Day organization, experienced teachers, and experienced students!
The free “Teaching Tools for National History Day 2013/2014” webinar will take place on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. Eastern time. Register online.
- National History Day (NHD) Programs Director Lynne O’Hara will open the webinar with a brief introduction to NHD.
- Then the National Archives at Philadelphia’s Andrea Reidell, Deputy Regional Coordinator for NHD Philadelphia, will discuss the NHD process and host a local teacher to provide helpful insights.
- Matthew Schaefer and Elizabeth Dinschel from the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum in West Branch, Iowa, will discuss how teachers can help their students on the road to completing a successful NHD project. They will also show teachers the many resources the National Archives has for NHD and research.
- The State Historical Society of Iowa’s Millie Frese, Iowa State NHD Coordinator, will present with a nationally-ranked student on what methods help students get to nationals.
